When Metrolinx started undertaking the most extensive transportation investment in Ontario’s history, to get you where you need to go better, faster, and easier while also operating GO Transit, UP Express and PRESTO.
They knew they needed to standardize an asset management solution that would be modern, simple to use and deploy, control all asset classes, and have the needed security to manage all different business divisions separately.
What did

They chose and implemented HxGN EAM with our help. Along with other Hexagon partners, we worked through all project stages to architect, develop, build, implement, train, and support the overall project.
Metrolinx is responsible for the public transportation around the GTHA (Great Toronto-Hamilton Area) with trains running from Niagara Falls to Oshawa and from Toronto to Barrie. The implementation included the software configuration, GIS setup, user training, data collection, integrations, mobile app for the department like Rail Opps, bus garages, Station Opps, Radio and Presto, enhancements, support and sustainment and future roadmaps.
With the fully functioning HxGN EAM application managing and maintaining Canada’s largest number of urban transit assets, Metrolinx can focus on supporting its millions of customers and regional businesses with better reliability and safety confidence, as they expand services.
